VidCon Wrap Up – Here are 3 key takeaways from the event this past weekend in Anaheim, California.

  1. Twitch was the break out platform this year. Amazon (owners of Twitch) had a strong presence at the industry track as they launched their new Merch Collab by Amazon.

  2. Both Youtube and Facebook released lots of new creator tools that focused on helping creators monetize their audiences. Facebook ‘Creators’ had the most impressive release.

  3. If you are not planning to go LIVE on social platforms your social strategy is going to suffer. Everyone was talking about how to go live, how often, what type of content, etc.
