I was invited to moderate the NYWIFT panel on Digi Dynamics: Moving into Mobile Content last week. It was really well programmed by NYWIFT with a strong set of panelists. I learned a lot.
Key learnings:
1) MTV is looking for any kind of Latino content as it is doing very well for them on mobile. Latino’s over index according to Verizon for video content on mobile.
2) The top shows online for various networks are NOT the same shows that do well on mobile.
3) There is a huge “pass back” culture (Mom’s giving there phones to their kids to keep them amused) and this may be why kids shows and cartoons are some of the top performers on mobile.
